Lela Jacobs is a hands-on designer based in Aotearoa New Zealand, committed to long-form local manufacturing and considered environmental decision making. Working with principles of zero waste pattern-making, Jacob’s places emphasis on the integrity and prior crafting of fabrics, treating garment design as a means to honour the meaningful labour, ecological impact and histories of fine textiles. Each collection is minimal and understated with an emphasis on strong design, innovation and androgynous appeal. A monochromatic colour palette of predominantly blacks, grays, whites, neutrals and specially commissioned prints, accentuate the conceptual silhouettes and strong lines of a Lela Jacobs collection.

‘The Keep’ is Lela Jacobs’ Auckland-based flagship store located on Karangahape Road.

Lela Jacobs and The Keep value high quality fabrics, locally well-made garments, accessories and unique explorative thinking. The designs intend to be versatile and highly wearable, executed through challenging technical pattern-making and experimental silhouettes. Inspirational influences include a multitude of cross cultural references and collaborations with local and international artists working in a range of media.

Lela Jacobs supports One Tree Planted an organisation dedicated to worldwide reforestation. One tree is planted for every Lela Jacobs garment made.

You will then be taken to a secure Stripe Express checkout where you can enter your credit card details. Upon payment, a reciept of purchase will be emailed to you, and then tracking information to follow directly from our shipping provider.

Returns & Refund

We are happy to make exchanges when necessary & available
(exchanges can only be made once).
Exchanges, Store Credits & Refunds available on full price items only (store credits valid for 6 months).
Sale items can not be exchanged, credited or refunded.
Items must be in original condition, unused, unworn & with the original tags attached.

We can not exchange, repairs or refund items that have been damaged due to general wear & tear.
Initial shipping costs will not be refunded unless the item is faulty.
Before an item is returned, email the details for return & or exchange requirements.

Return items, must be received back to the store within 7 days of delivery.


We do not rent, sell or distribute our customer base or newsletter e-mails to anyone. We also do not store your credit card details on our server, all credit card purchases are processed through Stripe, a secure payment gateway.
